Wales - Farm Stay UK

Cardiff, Swansea & Glamorgan

At the heart of South Wales, Swansea Bay is many destinations rolled into one. Wales' 'city by the sea' Swansea, the picturesque resort of Mumbles, 'waterfall country' in the Vale of Neath and some of the UKs finest coastline on the Gower Peninsula.

A perfect touring base for the rest of South Wales, well placed for a short hop to Ireland via air or sea.

Opportunities for outdoor activities are endless - with some of the cleanest water in Europe and the warmth of the Gulf stream our coastline is a great place to surf, water ski, wind surf or simply laze on a Blue Flag beach. The area offers memorable walking and cycling through unspoilt landscapes and even horse riding across windswept stretches of golden sand.

Dunraven Bay, Glamorgan Heritage CoastMany different experiences are on offer - the city of Swansea, birthplace of movie star Catherine Zeta Jones and poet Dylan Thomas, is the only place in the UK where you can shop, eat out and enjoy a vibrant arts, entertainment and club scene yet be so close to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Gower has some spectacular coastal scenery including the view from the village of Rhossili, reputedly the eighth most photographed sunset in the world!

This region includes cliff walks and superb beaches and the capital city – Cardiff – with its concerts and operas, rugby football, attractive Victorian shopping arcades, quality museums and Cardiff Castle.

Ogmore Castle, BridgendVisit the Welsh Folk Museum at St. Fagans, Castell Coch – a fairytale castle with three round towers, the university town of Swansea, Rudry Forest or the awe-inspiring ruins of Caerphilly Castle, dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries.

Don’t miss Aberdulais Falls near Neath, a miniature Niagara on the River Dulais, Penscynor Wildlife Park or the Welsh Valleys.

This former mining area has been transformed, thanks to a vast reclamation programme, restoring the valleys to their original natural beauty. You’ll find a welcome in the hillside!
